Scientific evidence shows there is a different way to teach and learn mathematics. When people take a “mindset mathematics” approach, in all grades, different pathways open up, leading to higher, and more equitable achievement.

A mindset mathematics approach involves teaching math(s) as a conceptual subject, highlighting the connections between ideas, and giving students mindset messages as they learn.

Join Jo Boaler, along with Cathy Williams, in Exploring:

  • New evidence of the learning practices that separate low and high-achieving students.
  • Teaching ideas and approaches that can help all students achieve highly.
  • Topics including number sense, algebra, and data literacy across the grades
  • Teamwork on mathematics instructional approaches.
  • Research behind the approaches.
  • Videos of the approaches in action.

The target audience includes, but is not limited to:

  • Classroom teachers of mathematics
  • Math/instructional coaches
  • Directors of teaching and learning
  • Building leadership teams
  • Building/district administrators
  • Educators of All Grade levels

Jo Boaler, Professor of Mathematics at Stanford University, is a leading advocate for innovative teaching methods in mathematics, with a focus on:
