Gain the insights, tools and strategies to effectively lead your small and rural schools. Become empowered to tackle your unique challenges and lead your school toward improved options for a lasting impact on rural and small school education. Each virtual session is designed to build on the content delivered in the workshop, providing participants with deeper insights and practical strategies that can be implemented in your district.

Day-Long Cohort Deliverables:

■ Foster a network of support among rural school leaders.

■ Improve advocacy efforts and relations at all levels.

Dr. Melissa Sadorf is a product of a small rural school and has been a superintendent in a small rural district, as well. Bringing a track record of 32 years of commitment to improved educational outcomes she has fostered positive school environments. An Arizona Superintendent of the Year, Melissa brings her voice to small schools with advocacy and experience as the Executive Director of the Arizona Rural Schools Association. She has conducted workshops on leadership, teacher and leader recruitment, and community engagement in a rural/small school environment. Host of the Rural Scoop Podcast, Melissa is also the author of “The Resilient Rural Leader” which addresses both the challenges and opportunities for rural leaders. Dr. Sadorf’s passion for education is deeply rooted in her upbringing in a rural community.
