Institute Description:

 Building Brains. Battling Bias is an experiential conference that immerses participants in Universally Designed Learning for the purpose of eliminating the barrier of bias.  Practitioners will engage with research, action, and arts that intermingle the intellect and emotion to build learning environments that yield safety for all learners.  If brain research, intentional anti bias and anti racism strategies and social justice is of interest to you, then don't miss this experience.  Get a chance to learn up close and personal from three leading voices on the intersection of UDL and Social Justice.

Registration fee:   $295 for 2 days

Location:  Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, 8235 NE Airport Way, Portland, Oregon.

We are excited to bring you an in-person opportunity to learn with UDL pioneer Andratesha Fritzgerald and other leading voices on the intersection of UDL and Social Justice.  

Andratesha Fritzgerald is the author of Anti racism and Universal Design for Learning:  Building Expressways to Success (CAST, 2020), winner of a Benjamin Franklin Award from the Independent Book Publishers Association.  She has served extensively in education as a teacher, curriculum specialist, administrator, and director.
