Description:

In this interactive session, get support for aligning media-making to communicate your school mission, vision, and values.  With support from KQED, public media in California, you'll leave with a vision for integrating youth voice and media projects across the curriculum and resources to support educators in your school or school district.

Speakers:



Rachel Roberson, Senior Program Manager, Humanities:

Previously, Rachel was a reading, writing and social studies teacher leader on three continents, having served on the founding staff of KIPP Bayview Academy in San Francisco before moving to schools in Abu Dhabi and Austin, Texas.  She started her teaching career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon.  Before she was a teacher, Rachel was a journalist in the East Bay.



Tamatha Hauskens, School District Partnership Manager: 

Tamatha Hauskens is KQED's School District Partnership Manager.  Her career took a circuitous route to KQED from online marketing to high school English teacher in the Bay Area, small business owner and sales manager for two educational technology companies.
