Institute Description: 

MTSS outcomes are improved when systems use their local context and data to align resources to student and educator needs.  This session will provide ideas for practices that can be used to evaluate local MTSS needs, as well as research-based practices that can improve outcomes within and MTSS



Presenter:  Sarah Brown, Ph.D. is the Senior Director of Product:  MTSS and FastBridge at Renaissance and co-author of the book "Effective Universal Instruction: An Action Oriented Approach to Improving Tier 1".  Before joining the Renaissance team, Dr. Brown led special education and MTSS implementation for the state of Iowa as a Bureau Chief at the Iowa Department of Education.  She has also served as a Special Education Director, Professional Learning Administrator and School Psychologist.  Professionally, she's interested in the implementation of MTSS at multiple levels of the education system and improving systems to support high achievement for every student.
