 Description:

How can we engage students in deep learning whether they're in school or at home?  A good place to begin is with curiosity, which both primes students' brains for learning and makes it stick, and a deep understanding of how to create student learning experiences that reflect how students learn and how curiosity propels their learning each step of the way.  In this session, you'll learn a simple model of learning that you can use right away with your own students to give them learning experiences that both challenge and engage them.

Join us for an engaging hour of learning during which you'll:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the science of memory, including how curiosity fuels deep learning.
  • Learn a practical model for lesson design from the new ASCD book, Learning that Sticks that supports curiosity and deep learning-whether students are in school or at home.
  • Get practical tools you can use right away to create challenging and engaging learning experiences for your students.
  • Recharge your "batteries," becoming inspired to create joyful learning for all students.
