Description: 

In this interactive presentation, Dr. Reeves provides the latest evidence on success in high poverty schools.  Participants will learn the five core competencies of Equity and Excellence Systems and the seven professional practices that distinguish Equity and Excellence schools.  Participants will leave with specific action steps to implement these ideas in their schools and districts.  This is based on Dr. Reeves' new book, Achieving Equity and Excellence.

Presenter: 

Dr. Douglas Reeves is the author of more than 40 books and 100 articles on education and leadership.  Twice named to the Harvard University Distinguished Authors Series, Doug received the Contribution to the Field Award from the National Staff Development Council (now Learning Forward) and was named the Brock International Laureate for his contributions to education.  Doug has shared his research in all fifty states and more than 40 countries.
